Following the launch of the new Internet Explorer (IE) 9 browser, Microsoft has teamed up with several online services to promote the IE9.
By running the latest version of Internet Explorer on your computer, you can take advantage of deals from Hulu, Groupon, eBay, Slacker and Gilt Groupe, well, only if you are running Windows 7 on your system. 🙂 All of them require you to pin sites to the taskbar on Windows 7 desktop.
Okay, now let’s take a look at all the available deals, shall we? Note : To pin a website in IE9, simply click and drag the web page icon to your Windows 7 taskbar. Simple as that. 🙂
1. Free One Month Subscription of Hulu Plus
Starting March 28, IE9 users will receive a free month of Hulu Plus by pinning the Hulu website to your Windows 7 taskbar and access the promotion through the Jump List. Hulu Plus usually costs $7.99 a month and includes higher quality videos and more content. However, please take note that Hulu is currently available only in U.S.
2. Earn $5 in Groupon Bucks
You can earn $5 in Groupon Bucks by pinning Groupon to your taskbar and clicking on a deal.
3. Make purchase from Gilt and Get Free Goodies!
Pin Gilt to your Windows 7 taskbar and make a purchase of $250 or higher at Gilt from March 28 to 30 (or while supplies last), and you will receive one of these goodies for free, a free Xbox 360, Xbox 360 Kinect bundle or a Samsung Focus WP7 handset.
4. Free One Month of Premium Slacker Radio Plus
Pin Slacker internet radio service to your Windows 7 taskbar to enjoy a one month free subscription of premium Slacker Radio Plus (usually costs $4.99 a month).
5. Enjoy eBay deals on April and May
Pin eBay to your Windows 7 taskbar and get ready to enjoy great deals from the eBay’s Jump List. In April you’ll be able to earn 8% extra eBay bucks for any purchase made through the Jump List, and in May you’ll get a $5 discount on the first purchase from the Jump List.
