Yesterday, our guest blogger, Holly Powell, has shortlisted five gadgets that should be included in everyone’s Christmas wish list. They are Nexus 7/Nexus 10, Windows 8-based PC or touch-based tablets, MacBook Pro 15-inch w/ Retina Display, Samsung new Chromebook and Nintendo 3DS XL.
Now, do kids prefer to have all the mentioned tech products for Christmas? Let’s read the recent study by Nielsen to find out.
The study puts in ranking the tech products that kids in the US (aged 6 to 12 and 13+) would love to have in the next 6 months (that’s include Christmas). From the study, it revealed that American kids aged 6 to 12 are more interested in Apple’s products than other consumer electronics and gaming devices. The iPad comes out on top in the list with 48% of the kids surveyed expressed their interest on the tablet.
In fact, four out of the top five products belong to Apple. iPod Touch comes in third, iPad Mini fourth and iPhone fifth. Nintendo Wii U is the second most wanted tech gadget.
Among consumers aged 13 and above, the most wanted tech product is the iPad again (with 21% of them expressed interest). Other products that caught their interest are again tablet but other models than iPad, computer (that runs Windows 8?), Wii U, the iPhone and Internet-enabled TVs.
Now to parents who are reading this, hope that this gives you an idea of what to get for your kids this Christmas. 🙂
