How important is technology to college students? Well, it’s good to say that college students nowadays are more dependent on technology. There are more tech-savvy students who study their notes on their laptops, take notes with their smartphones, use email to communicate with professors, browse internet for information and create digital presentations, among others.
In fact in the past 12 months, college students spent an average of $759.55 on technology and one-in-five students having spent between $501 to $1000. With the amount college students are spending on technology, keeping their devices functioning is an important factor for success.
Created by NortonLive Services, the infographic, “College Students & Technology : Digital Lifestyle is the Key to Success“, tells us that one third of college students find technology issues to be among their top three stressors (even more so than financial issues or studying for finals).
As much as 73% of college students reported that a malfunctioning device would negatively affect their grades. 81% of students said a laptop/desktop computer malfunction would be a “complete disaster”. That’s why when it comes to fixing their devices, college students are reported to put more trust in paid tech support than they do in themselves, family, friends, or free tech support.
