The Angry Birds franchise has captured the market from virtually all possible platforms – the iOS (iPhone, iPod touch and iPad), Android, Mac, PC, Blackberry and Windows Phone. On the internet, Angry Birds is available as browser-based game at Chrome Store and there is a Facebook-version of the game too. And now, the Angry Birds is on its way to hit the consoles.
Both Activision and Rovio has confirmed an Angry Birds Trilogy is now under development for Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and Nintendo 3DS. The trilogy bundles the original Angry Birds game, Angry Birds Seasons and also the Angry Birds Rio, on one disc or 3DS cartridge. The developer for the trilogy is the Super Stardust developer, Housemarque.
According to Rovio’s Executive Vice President of Games, Petri Järvilehto, he said that the trilogy will be built “from the ground up” for HDTVs. Yes, you can expect high-resolution graphics from the games. In addition, there will be new cinematics, extras and other entertaining content. Also, there would be individual leaderboards for each level.
Angry Birds Trilogy will support Microsoft Kinect, PlayStation Move and StreetPass on the 3DS
As for the pricing, the trilogy will be available for $39.99 on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 and $29.99 on 3DS. It is scheduled for release in this coming December holiday.
