WD has introduced the new WD TV – Personal Edition to Malaysia market. Priced at RM359, the little black box is a Wi-Fi enabled media player that supports for playing virtually any media file format on your TV.
Being a media player, WD TV allows you to enjoy your personal media of photos, video and music on your TV. It supports popular file formats such as MKV, MP4, AVI, WMV and MOV. Files can be streamed from USB or network storage drives, digital camcorder or cameras, and any PC or Mac computer connected to the same home network as WD TV. In addition to that, you can stream online media content through apps from YouTube, Hulu Plus, VUDU, SlingPlayer, Spotify, Pandora and Facebook.

WD TV now supports Miracast. By pairing a Miracast-enabled Android mobile device with your WD TV and you can share exactly what’s on the small screen on your TV in up to Full HD 1080p.
The home page of WD TV is customizable. You can add shortcuts to your favorite content folders for quick access and prioritize all your favorite online services and apps on your home screen. You can set apps to auto-run on startup too.
WD TV comes with a remote control. However, thanks to the WD TV Remote app, you can use your iPhone, iPod touch, iPad, or Android mobile device as a remote control too. The app is available as free download from the App Store and Google Play.
