Following the $150 price reduction on Surface RT models in the US, Microsoft is quick to revise the official price for the two models of Surface RT in Malaysia. Both 32GB and 64GB Surface RT tablets are now cheaper by RM 450!
With the new price reduction, Surface RT tablet is now selling at price starting from RM 1,099 (previously RM 1,549) for 32GB model. 64GB model now costs RM 1,399 (previously RM 1,849). How about Surface Pro? Sorry guys, no price revision yet.
So how do we think about the new pricing? Well, for us, even with such a huge price cut, we doubt that it will attract many consumers to purchase the tablet. By the way, we heard that Microsoft is preparing Surface RT 2. It will feature faster processor, running Windows RT 8.1.
