Samsung has just announced the Wi-Fi only Galaxy Camera. Although the Korean company didn’t reveal the pricing, the Android-powered digital point-and-shoot camera is definitely cheaper than the original Galaxy Camera.
The new Wi-Fi only Galaxy Camera has the same specs as the original Galaxy Camera except for the omission of the 3G/4G connectivity.
To recap, Galaxy Camera sports a 4.8-inch HD Super clear touch display with resolution at 1280 x 720 and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 2. It is powered by a 1.4GHz Samsung Exynos quad-core processor with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory (expandable via microSD slot up to 64GB). It features 16.3-megapixels CMOS sensor, along with 21x optical zoom and a 23mm lens for wide angle shots. It runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean mobile OS and comes with Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and 3G connectivity.
This model is suitable for people who enjoy taking photos but don’t mind if they can’t instantly share the photos to the internet or social networking sites. That’s not a big deal for many users, right? You can always share the photos later when you find a wireless network connection.
