Xiaomi Malaysia has announced on Facebook the pricing and also the availability of their upcoming mobile devices for local market. The budget-friendly Redmi 1S will cost RM 419 while the asking price for Redmi Note (Enhanced version) is RM 509. The former will go on sale online on July 8, meanwhile the latter on July 22.
To recap, Redmi 1S features a 4.7-inch IPS screen display with 1280 x 720 resolution. It is powered by 1.6GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor with 1GB of RAM and 8GB internal memory. Storage can be expandable via microSD card, for up to 32GB. Out of the box, the device runs Android 4.3 with MIUI version 5 overlay.
Other features include 8MP rear camera with f/2.2 aperture, LED flash and supports 1080p video recording, 1.6MP front-facing camera, dual-sim support, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and a 2,000mAh battery.
Redmi Note features a 5.5-inch IPS screen display with 1280 x 720 resolution. It is powered by an octa-core MediaTek MT6592 processor clocked at 1.7GHz, 2GB of RAM and built-in storage size of 8GB. There is a microSD card slot that supports additional storage up to 32GB. Out of the box, the device runs Android 4.2 with MIUI version 5 overlay.
Other features include WLAN 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, 13MP rear camera, 5MP front-facing camera, support dual-sim and a generous 3200mAh Lithium-polymer battery.
