Microsoft Malaysia has confirmed the public launch of its ARM-based Windows RT tablet – the Surface RT – to be take place on next Thursday, April 25. Hey, that’s the same day as HTC One launch in Malaysia.
Publika Kuala Lumpur will play host to the Surface RT launch event and the first 300 customers to purchase the Surface RT will receive giveaways worth RM300. After the launch, the tablet will then be available at three retailers throughout the country – they are Challenger Malaysia, Harvey Norman and Thunder Match Technology.
The exact prices for both 32GB and 64GB of Surface RT is yet to be known. Our neighbouring country Singapore is selling the tablet (cover not included) at SGD 668 (RM 1640) and SGD 798 (RM 1959) for 32GB and 64GB model respectively. Whereas in the U.S., the Surface RT starts at USD 499 (RM 1513) for 32GB model and USD 599 (RM 1817) for 64GB. Hopefully, Malaysians get to purchase the tablet with the cheaper US pricing. 🙂
