We’ve been talking about the upcoming second generation Surface tablets for quite awhile already. Tomorrow September 23, the wait will be over as Microsoft is expected to announce Surface 2 (successor of Surface RT) and Surface Pro 2 in an event in New York.

Pricing and Availability
According to Cnet, Surface 2 tablets will most probably hit markets sometime after the public availability of Windows 8.1. The Windows 8.1 will make its debut on October 18.
As for pricing estimation, Microsoft Surface 2 will start at $500 for 32GB model, $600 for 64GB. Meanwhile, Surface Pro 2 will retail at $900 for 64GB version. 128GB, 256GB and 512GB models available at $1,000, $1,300 and $1,700 respectively.
