Maxis Opens Registration of Interest for Blackberry Playbook Tablet1 min read

Another tablet is heading to our shore soon. Guess what – it’s the much-anticipated Blackberry Playbook tablet from Research In Motion (RIM)! Again, Maxis holds the exclusive right to bring the tablet to our local market. Congrats, Maxis! 🙂

And yesterday, Maxis has opened up their registration of interest page for the new Blackberry Playbook tablet.

Interested users can register your interest here, in order to be the first to have the latest launch detailsPricing and rate plans will be announced closer to the launch date.

On the tablet’s features, Blackberry Playbook boasts a 7-inch display (1024 x 600 screen resolution), runs new Blackberry Tablet OS and sports 1080p HD forward-facing (3MP) and rear-facing (5MP) cameras. Plus, the tablet is packed with a 1 GHz dual-core processor and 1GB of RAM.

I am guessing that the Blackberry Playbook will be available to Maxis customers at the end of next month July or maybe early August, because previously RIM has announced a week ago that the tablet will be launch at 16 additional countries within the next 30 days. Sadly, Malaysia is nowhere to be found in the list. 🙁

So definitely the Blackberry Playbook will get to these 16 countries first, before finally making Malaysia debut later. Currently, the Blackberry Playbook is available only in the U.S. and Canada.
