ASUS Malaysia has launched its latest Windows 8-based device – the ASUS U38DT ultraportable laptop, to consumers in Malaysia for a price tag of RM 2,199.
The touch-based laptop features a 13.3-inch HD non-glare display with 1366 x 768 screen resolution. It has ultra-thin and ultra-light form factor measures at just 6mm at its thinnest point and weighs at just 1.55 kg (with polymer battery).
Hardware-wise, ASUS U38DT is powered by AMD quad-core A8-4555M processor, sports an AMD Radeon HD 8550M Graphics with 1GB of DDR3 memory, has 2GB of DDR3 RAM and a 500 GB SATA3 HDD storage. The laptop runs Windows 8 Pro or Windows 8.
Other features include 802.11a/b/g/n dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, three USB 3.0 ports, HDMI and mini VGA port, and a 3-in-1 card reader. The battery can lasts the laptop up to seven hours.
ASUS U38DT is now on sale nationwide for RM 2,199 apiece and comes with 1-year hardware warranty, 2 years for battery pack. And as part of the promotion, the laptop is bundled together with an external optical disc drive worth RM 119 (while stock last).
