Remember the Padfone mini 4.3? It’s a smaller version of the Padfone Infinity, first unveiled back in December last year. Till this date, potential buyers (we might be buying too) are still waiting for the device to hit their store shelves. Well we may not know the exact availability, but at least we knew its retail price in Malaysia.
Referring to the ASUS Malaysia’s product guide for tablet and smartphone for the month of January and February 2014 (view in PDF here), the company is putting a price tag of RM 1,249 for Padfone mini. Lol, don’t ask us why the device is nowhere to be seen although it was listed in the product guide which expires today.
To recap, the Padfone mini features a 4.3-inch screen display with 960 x 540 resolution. It is powered by a 1.4GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor with 1GB of RAM and internal storage of 16GB. There is a microSD slot for storage expansion. The battery capacity measures at 1,500 mAh. Meanwhile the tablet dock has a 7-inch screen with resolution of 1280 x 800 and a 2,200 mAh battery.
The Padfone mini has a 8MP rear camera, 2MP camera on its front. It offers a few special tweaks like the Hi-Light “Owl Mode” and high speed continuous shooting in the camera. The device runs Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and is available in two colors – Chocolate Black and Milky White.
