ASUS has unveiled two variants of Fonepad 7 phablet at the MWC 2014 in Barcelona. One comes with 4G LTE connectivity, while another is a dual-SIM phablet. Thus far, there is no detail on both the pricing as well as the availability.
The first model is a new Fonepad 7 LTE (ME372CL), as the name suggests, features 4G LTE connectivity. Other than that, the rest of the specs are exactly the same as its predecessor (ME372CG). It sports a 7-inch IPS screen display with resolution of 800 x 1280, a 1.6GHz Intel Atom Z2560 dual-core processor with 1GB of RAM and internal memory of 8GB. It has 5MP rear camera and a 1.2MP front-facing camera and a 3,950 mAh battery.
Next is the dual-SIM version of the Fonepad 7 phablet (ME175CG). This variant supports dual SIM but lacks 4G LTE connectivity. It has a slower processor – a 1.2Ghz Intel Atom Z2520 processor. Other features are similar to the LTE variant.
P.S. : Is it just us, or the dual-SIM Fonepad 7 no longer sports dual-front speakers?
