Angry Birds Star Wars II game – the second installment to the Angry Birds Star Wars series, is now available as free download on App Store as part of the free app of the week promotion.
To recap, Angry Birds Star Wars II is based on the second trilogy of the Star Wars movies. The game has over 30 playable characters in the form of both birds and pigs. You get to choose a side – bird or pig. There are over 30 collectable TELEPODS figures from Hasbro, allowing you to select new characters on the fly, by scanning the characters into the game.
The latest update to the game on December 3, brings 44 new levels in the latest Battle of Naboo chapter. There are 4 new secret levels to unlock and 3 new free characters to play – Padme, Captain Panaka and Zam Wesell.
The free download for iPhone and iPad will last for a week, starting today until the next weekend.
