Besides addicted to my Google Adsense earning stat (Yes, I checked for Adsense earning over ten times per day), I am too very excited to find out the number of visitors on my blog. I check for the traffic stat for at least several times a day.
So if you are like me, using whos.amung.us counter on your blog and frequently check for numbers of visitors online, here is a quick way to find out your live visitors count without needing to visit the tracking page or load your blog just to see the visitor count.
Whos.Amung.Us Users Online Counter is a free extension for Firefox that displays the number of visitors for your blog in the status bar of your Firefox browser. This extension gets how many users are on your blog from the whos.amung.us counter widget and puts the count in your Firefox’s status bar.
To start tracking your blog, you need to go to the options page of this extension, then enter your 8 to 12 characters unique sitekey which can be found at the end of your Whos.amung.us URL. For example, your url may looks like this http://whos.amung.us/stats/abcd1234, then your key is abcd1234.
After you close the options page, the visitor number will be updated in real time. You can keep track of up to five blogs or sites at the same time.
