Facebook has released the latest version of its Messenger app for iOS and Android platforms. In the latest update, Facebook has added voice messaging to the app.
Now, in addition to text messaging, you can send quick voice message to your Facebook friends from Facebook Messenger app.
You should see a new Record Voice option when writing message. Tap on it will reveal a red button to record your voice. You can record up to one-minute worth of voice message and then send it to your friend.
Other than that, Facebook will be rolling out free VoIP audio calling to Messenger app over the next few weeks. The social networking giant is currently testing the VoIP calling in Canada and will bring the feature to US and users from all across the world, should everything works fine. Note that free calling uses your existing data plan.
