Good news to Malaysians. Both our country’s telecom service providers, Maxis and DiGi are set to bring the Apple iPhone 4 to Malaysia in the coming months. And both telcos have just made their first move to capture the Apple iPhone 4 market in Malaysia, by putting up the “Register Your Interest” page on their respective official website since July 20, 2010.

The page enables you to register your interest on iPhone 4, and by doing so, you will be the first to know once iPhone 4 is available with Maxis or DiGi. However, you are not guaranteed that you will be the first to purchase the iPhone 4, because this is only a registration of interest, not a pre-order form. Therefore, at least to me, the “Register Your Interest” page does not really serve much purpose.
So for now, we are still keep in dark about the release date of Apple iPhone 4 in Malaysia. Both telcos haven’t revealed any details about the Apple iPhone 4’s release date, pricing and their mobile service package.
Anyhow, I feel that we as consumers are going to get nothing but only the best deals from both telcos. Why? Because both Maxis and DiGi will do anything to dominate the Apple iPhone 4 market in Malaysia. So what we can do now is wait for the next news update on iPhone 4 from DiGi and Maxis.
