We’re getting closer and closer to the release of the iOS 5 Golden Master (GM), as Apple has announced it will wipe out all the data in the iTunes Match iCloud libraries on Monday, September 26th at 9AM PDT. Two days back, Apple has done the same thing to iCloud Backup data.

Apple said that they are performing the data wipe out to “improve the overall quality and reliability” of the iTunes Match service. But we believe that all these are part of the preparations for Apple to launch the iOS 5 GM, which should be the final and official version of the software.
Then, the official announcement of the iOS 5 to the public will follow suits in early October, probably October 4. No official words on the launch date though.
