Last Thursday, a day before the iPhone 5 launch in Malaysia, we have attended a special briefing by DiGi Malaysia. The media briefing was held at Haagen Dazs, Solaris Mont Kiara where the telco talked about its iDiGi postpaid plans for iPhone 5. Praveen Rajan, head of products – Internet & Services for DiGi was present at the briefing.
There was not much left to talk about the bundle plans for the iPhone 5 as the full pricing was already live on DiGi Store Online since December 7,2012. That’s the same day the third largest network provider started taking pre-orders for iPhone 5 both online and in DiGi retail outlets.
Speaking at the briefing, Praveen Rajan said that iPhone 5 is one of the most anticipated product launches in Malaysia. He added, “DiGi is happy to be part of this adventure, delivering on our promise to provide the best deals in town for discerning Malaysians who have embraced a mobile internet lifestyle. With the launch of iPhone 5, DiGi Malaysia expects to see a 25% rise in smartphone users.
