Apple has updated its iPhone page and put together the specifications for the new iPhone 4S side by side against older iPhone models – iPhone 4 and the iPhone 3GS in a comparison chart.
Despite the unchanged physical design, the iPhone 4S has some notable changes include an upgrade from 3-megapixel camera (in iPhone 3GS) to 5-megapixel (iPhone 4) and a new 8-megapixel camera for iPhone 4S. The improved camera is now capable of recording 1080p HD video. Besides, the iPhone 4S is twice more powerful than iPhone 4, thanks to a dual-core A5 chip which also boosts graphics performance by up to 7x.
On top of that, iPhone 4S is the first Apple smartphone to feature advanced support for voice-recognition and control through Siri. The apps takes voice commands to enter text, check the weather, get directions, ask for reminders or perform web searches. In addition, iPhone 4S also has a new antenna design with a dual-mode GSM and CMDA radio, which enables users to switch between two antennas to improve call quality and download data more quickly.
