Latest update on the upcoming iPhone 5. We already knew that German carrier, Deutsche Telekom has started to accept reservation for the next generation of the iPhone smartphone from customers in Germany, since last week.
This week, we’ve learnt that China’s third largest mobile carrier, the China Telecom will accept orders for the iPhone 5 at the end of this September, according to a report by the Southern Metropolis Daily.
Official sales of the iPhone 5 is expected to start next month, in October. And China Telecom has already announced the availability of the smartphone at one of its stores, with prediction to sell over 1 million units of iPhone 5 by the end of 2011. To boost the sales of iPhone 5 in their network, the mobile carrier indicated that they will increase subsidies to lure the consumers, coupled with a rumoured 1.5 billion yuan ($235 million) spend on marketing the iPhone 5 in China.
