The fourth-generation of Apple iPhone is set for the another round of international expansion starting this week, as more and more countries have reported to release the Apple’s latest smartphone to their local market.
The iPhone 4 was first launched in the U.S., France, Germany, Japan and the U.K. on June 24. Later by the end of July, the Apple iPhone 4 has entered an additional of 18 countries : Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, New Zealand, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.
And now, heading to end of September, the Apple iPhone 4 is once again become the center of attraction as the Apple’s latest smartphone will roll out to many more countries beginning this week. If you still remember, Apple did mentioned that they will roll out iPhone 4 worldwide to 88 countries by the end of September.
Two days back, Apple has issued a press release which announced and confirmed that the iPhone 4 will be officially launched in China this Saturday, 25 September at 8.00 a.m.
Well, China is not only country that will see the iPhone 4 starts selling to their consumers because we’ve learnt that more countries (at least ten additional countries) are joining the iPhone 4 September international launch. The countries includes Malaysia (of course!), Philippines, Israel, Turkey, Thailand, Hungary, Russia, Tunisia, Croatia and Macedonia.
Below are the details (and rumors) on the iPhone 4’s launch for the mentioned countries.
China
Both official Apple retail stores and China Unicom stores will open their doors for iPhone 4 customers at 8 a.m, September 25. Pricing for the iPhone 4 is CNY4,999 ($743) and CNY5,999 ($892) for the 16 GB and 32 GB models (without a contract) respectively.
Malaysia
Malaysian will be getting the iPhone 4 on both Maxis and DiGi as the carriers. Maxis is expected to begin selling iPhone 4 on September 26 in selected Maxis Centres in Klang Valley. Purchase will be made available nationwide starting 27th September. As for DiGi, the telco has hinted that they will be ahead of Maxis, to launch iPhone 4 on September 24.
Philippines
The Philippines will be getting the iPhone 4 through Globe Telecoms on September 26th.
Israel
Israel will be getting the device on September 24th through Orange, however some reports are saying all major carriers will get the device including Pelephon, Cellcom, and Orange.
Turkey
Turkey will get the iPhone 4 on September 24th as well through Vodafone Turkey & Turkcell.
Thailand
Thailand will get the device at midnight on the September 24th.
Hungary
Hungary is rumored to get the device through T-Mobile Hu, Telenor and Vodafone on the 24th as well.
Russia
Russia is rumored to get the iPhone 4 between September 22nd and 24th on MTS and Vympelkom.
Tunisia
The Apple iPhone 4 will be shipped to Tunisia on the 24th or 25th through Orange.
Croatia and Macedonia
Rumors said that Croatia and Macedonia will get the device on T-Mobile on September 24th.
If Apple is serious about their plan to roll out iPhone 4 worldwide to 88 countries by the end of September, then there should be a lot more than the above figure countries to receive the iPhone 4 shipments. To date, Apple has only confirmed the iPhone 4 release in China. So I guess Apple will publish a press release in coming days to confirm the iPhone 4 shipments to the mentioned countries.
