The iPhone 5 was launched in Malaysia on December 14 last year. This time around, local Apple fans don’t need to wait till December to get their hands on the latest models as Apple has officially announced that both iPhone 5S and 5C will hit local market starting November 1st, 2013.
The two new iPhones are currently available in 11 countries. They are the US, Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Puerto Rico, Singapore and the UK. The upcoming rollouts are set for October 25 (35 countries) and November 1 (16 countries).
- October 25 (Friday) : Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, French West Indies, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Macau, Malta, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Reunion Island, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan and Thailand.
- November 1 (Friday) : Albania, Armenia, Bahrain, Colombia, El Salvador, Guam, Guatemala, India, Macedonia, Malaysia, Mexico, Moldova, Montenegro, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and UAE.
Thus far, there is no detail on the pricing for both iPhone 5S and 5C in Malaysia. As always like the years before, our three major telcos – Maxis, Celcom and DiGi will offer subsidized iPhone 5S and 5C on contract.
