Apple Gets the iPad Trademark from Fujitsu1 min read

This piece of news is pretty interesting. The iPad trademark was actually belonged to Fujitsu, a Japanese multinational computer hardware and IT services company. And just until recently, on March 17 (Five days after the iPad pre-order went live), Apple has become the new rightful owner of the iPad trademark.

Records at the U.S. Patent and Trademark office has confirmed the changing hand of ownership for iPad trademark from Fujitsu to Apple. The screenshot below shown the details on the assignment from Fujitsu to Apple.

And if you are wondering what is Fujitsu iPad, it is the name of Fujitsu’s wireless handheld computing device used by retailers. The trademark was registered on March 2003.

Fujitsu, you lucky bastard! Thanks, Darren!
