Samsung Mobile kicks off the new year with the latest addition to its lineup of Android smartphone. Introducing the enhanced version of the Galaxy Ace – the Galaxy Ace Plus!
The budget-friendly Galaxy Ace Plus kept many of the original features from the Galaxy Ace phone, with several added features and tweaks, which doesn’t look very significant (in our eyes though).
Among the improvements are faster processor (1GHz processor from 800MHz), a bigger screen size (3.5-inch to 3.65-inch HVGA display, but resolution remains at 320×480), larger internal memory (158MB to 3GB) and RAM (278MB to 512MB).
Other features include 5-megapixel rear camera with auto-focus and LED flash, HSDPA 7.2 Mbps connectivity and is powered by a 1,300mAh battery. On the software side, Galaxy Ace Plus runs only Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS (rather the 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich) with the TouchWiz UI overlay.
Availability and Pricing
The Galaxy Ace Plus will be available in Russia starting from January 2012, and will be gradually rolled out to Europe, CIS, Latin America, Southeast and Southwest Asia, the Middle East, Africa and China. Pricing has yet to be announced, but would not varies much from the pricing of the Galaxy Ace.
