Ladies and gentlemen, the Instagram app has hit the Google Play Store, now available as a free download!
Carrying version 1.0.1, the photo sharing application supports any camera phone with Android 2.2 or above with support for OpenGL ES 2 (a special graphics processing language that exists on modern-day devices).
The developer has the intention to keep the Android version up-to-date with the iOS version. However, in the first release of Instagram for Android, there are a few features that will not be included. This include features like Tilt Shift/Blur, Share from Feed, Live Preview and Share to Flickr. Fret not, all these missing features will be available in upcoming versions.
