Huawei has announced the availability of MediaPad 7 Youth tablet for Malaysian market. The 7-inch dual-core Android 4,1 Jellybean tablet is targeted for younger generation and has an official price tag of RM 699.
As for the specs, Huawei MediaPad 7 Youth features a 7-inch WSVGA screen display with 1024×600 resolution. It is powered by a 1.6-GHz ARM Cortex-A9 dual core processor with 1GB of RAM and 8GB internal storage. Storage is expandable up to 32GB via a microSD card slot. The tablet is measured at 9.9mm thick and weighs 350g.
The rear and front-facing cameras are set at 3MP and 0.3MP respectively. Other features include HSPA+ 21Mbps, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, runs Android 4.1 with Huawei Emotion UI and is packed with a 4,100mAh battery.
We think that Huawei has overpriced the MediaPad 7 Youth tablet. Both MediaPad 7 Youth and ASUS MeMO Pad 8 have the same price tag of RM 699. And if we are to make a choice, we will go for the latter. It has faster processor, larger internal storage, better cameras and newer Android OS, among others.
What do you think? Is MediaPad 7 Youth worth to buy?
