Earlier this month, HTC Corporation has promised owners of the HTC One X and One S smartphones that the Jelly Bean update will be available to both Android devices this month. Now, the wait is over, at least to owners of HTC One X. 🙂
The general manager of HTC North Asia, Jack Tong announced at a press event that the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update will start rolling out for the One X today. Unfortunately, the new firmware update is limited to the countries in Asia. It will take some time for the update to arrive to other parts of the world (Europe, US etc).

At the time writing, there are already users in Taiwan and Singapore who receives the Jelly Bean update over-the-air (OTA) on their HTC One X. As for owners of HTC One S, the Jelly Bean update will be available shortly. However, no time frame is given.
In addition to Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean, the update also brings a newer version of the Sense UI, the Sense 4+.
Among the new features in Sense 4+ are the refreshed Gallery app, newer version of HTC Watch 2.0 (provides exclusive access to thousands of movies), HTC Get Started (guides you through painless set-up and personalisation process from a desktop web browser) and new Tap and Go function (connect the phone and your music to Beats speakers with a single tap).
