The Taiwanese smartphone maker HTC Corporation has announced its latest Android flagship smartphone – the HTC One X+ earlier today. The smartphone has more speed (aka faster processor), more storage and more battery life as compared to HTC One X. Read on for more details.
HTC One X+ sports a 4.7-inch super LCD 2 touch screen display with HD 720p resolution fronted with a protective layer of the Gorilla Glass 2. The Android smartphone is powered by a Tegra 3 1.7 GHz quad-core processor, with a 64GB-worth of internal memory and 1GB of RAM. It has a 2100 mAh Li-ion battery which gives the smartphone up to 50% longer (or 6 hours more) battery life as compared to the HTC One X.
In the camera department, HTC One X+ sports a 8-megapixel rear camera with auto focus, LED flash, BSI sensor (for better low-light captures), F2.0 aperture, 28mm lens and a dedicated HTC ImageChip. The camera support 1080p HD video recording. There is a 1.6-megapixel camera on the front that supports 720p video recording and has a newly launched Self Portrait mode.
On the software side, HTC One X+ runs the latest Android 4.1 Jelly Bean with the new HTC Sense 4+ overlay. The Sense 4+ brings new features like a refreshed Gallery app (with two new view modes), newer version of HTC Watch 2.0 (provides exclusive access to thousands of movies), HTC Get Started (guides you through painless set-up and personalisation process from a desktop web browser) and new Tap and Go function (connect the phone and your music to Beats speakers with a single tap).
Availability and Pricing
HTC One X+ will be launched in Europe and North Asia from October and in South Asia from November 2012. North America will make a separate announcement regarding availability of the HTC One X+. No details on the pricing though.
