When HTC’s latest flagship Android smartphone – the HTC One handset was unveiled last month, the Taiwanese company is optimized to roll out the handset to consumers globally in beginning in March. Well, thing doesn’t go well as there has been a delay in shipments for the HTC One handset.
Today, the people over HTC Malaysia has issued the following official statement to our inbox, giving out information regarding the launch dates of HTC One across the world.
HTC has seen unprecedented demand for and interest in the new HTC One and the care taken to design and build it is evidenced in early reviews. The new HTC One will roll out in the UK, Germany and Taiwan next week and across Europe, North America and most of Asia-Pacific before the end of April. We appreciate our customers’ patience, and believe that once they have the phone in their hands they will agree that it has been worth the wait.
So there you go, HTC One handset will hit its first markets next week (or rather this week because tech site like Techcrunch received the same statement last week). Consumers in the UK, Germany and Taiwan will get their hands on the handset first. And before the end of the April, the handset will reach Europe, North America and most of Asia-Pacific. So the HTC One is still on track to hit Malaysia before May. As reported previously, the handset will retail at RM 2,299 in Malaysia.
