The HTC’s One series family of mobile devices is now complete. The Taiwanese smartphone maker has officially announced the newest device in its One series. Put your hands together for the HTC One Max – the enlarged version of HTC One with a huge 5.9-inch screen display and fingerprint scanner.
After a series of leaks, there’s almost nothing that we don’t know about the One Max, really. HTC One Max is one of HTC’s worst kept secret. Lol! Nevertheless, let’s check out the specs.
HTC One Max sports a 5.9-inch full HD 1080p screen display and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 quad-core processor clocked at 1.7 Ghz. It’s the same processor found in HTC One. The phablet has 2GB of RAM and onboard storage sizes of 16GB or 32GB. There is microSD card slot for storage expansion for up to 64GB, plus HTC is giving an additional 50GB worth of Google Drive cloud storage for free. Not sure if the offer lasts for a few years or lifetime. Hopefully, it’s the latter. 🙂
The main highlight of the phablet is perhaps the fingerprint scanner, which is located on the back of the phablet, well under the camera lens. The fingerprint scanner allows users to lock or unlock the screen and quickly launch up to three favourite applications by assigning an individual finger to each.
The Beats audio logo is missing at the back of the phablet as the Taiwanese company has decided not to include the feature into the phablet. So, One Max is left with BoomSound dual frontal stereo speakers.
As for the cameras, there is a 4MP Ultrapixel camera with f/2.0 aperture and 28mm lens on the rear and a 2.1MP front-facing camera. Both cameras have 1080p full HD video recording capability. Battery capacity stands at 3,300mAh. The phablet weighs 217 grams and has thickness of 10.29 mm. It runs Android 4.3 Jelly Bean with Sense 5.5 overlay.
