HTC has sent out invitations to attend the launch events for HTC One Max. The global launch will take place in China on Tuesday, October 15, then the following day October 16 in Hong Kong and Taiwan on October 18.
The largest-to-be-announced device in the HTC One family series is expected to sport a fingerprint scanner at the back of the phablet, just below the rear camera lenses.
According to previous leaks, the HTC One Max could sports a 5.9-inch Full HD 1080p screen display and is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor clocked at 2.3Ghz (or could also be 1.7GHz Snapdragon 600). There is 2GB of RAM, built-in storage size of 16GB and a battery capacity of 3300mAH.
The phablet has a 4 Ultrapixel rear camera, a 2.1MP front facing camera for video calling and BoomSound front stereo speakers. It runs Android 4.3 Jelly Bean with Sense 5.5 overlay.
