Good news to all HTC Desire S owners in Malaysia, the Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread OS update alongside with the Sense 3.0 UI has just arrived to the smartphone and is available as over-the-air (OTA). With the update, the firmware version of Desire S now carries 2.15.707.2 (previously 1.48.707.1).
Owners of Desire S should receive the update automatically by now. Else, you can manually check for the update, by simply go to Setting > About phone > Software update > Check for new software.

With the Sense 3.0 installed, HTC Desire S will get new features like the interactive lock screens, new animations, an updated launcher as well as a host of new widgets, the latest version of the Android Market (version 3.1.5) and access to HTC’s Watch video streaming service. Users are also reporting better GPS performance.
