HTC has announced its latest mid-range Android smartphone. Named HTC Desire 500, the device make its debut in Taiwan for suggested retail price of NT$11,900 (approx. RM1265) and will be available exclusively through Taiwan Mobile on August 1.
Hardware-wise, the Desire 500 sports a 4.3-inch WVGA screen display with 480×800 resolution. The device is powered by a 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 quad-core processor coupled with 1GB of RAM and 4GB worth of internal storage memory. The storage is expandable up to 64GB via microSD memory card slot. There is a 8MP rear camera with HTC ImageChip and 1.6MP camera on its front.
Other features include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, Beats Audio and battery capacity of 1,800mAh. The smartphone runs Android 4.2 with HTC Sense 5 overlay and features BlinkFeed too.
As for color variants, Desire 500 is available in three colors : Black, white with green accents and white with red accents.
