The original Nexus 7 made its debut in June last year. And it’s about time to see Google reveals the next generation of its popular Android tablet. This coming Wednesday July 24, we are going to witness the launch of the new Nexus 7 tablet as Google is set to host a press event to that day.
According to Engadget, the second-generation Nexus 7 is most likely to feature a 1.5GHz quad-core processor, a new 5MP rear camera and will run Android 4.3 out-of-the-box. In addition to that, there will be slim port support for playing 1080p video on your TV and wireless charging too.
The tech site also reported that the new Nexus 7 tablet will hit the shelves at Staples on July 31. The tablets are expected to arrive in stores as early as July 24. The 32GB version will cost $20 more than its predecessor, at $269 apiece. Consider the number of new features included in the new version, an additional $20 is totally worth the money. Don’t you think?
Anyway, stay tuned to this coming Wednesday to confirm the specifications and pricing.
