Facebook Messenger for Android

In the past few weeks, we’ve mentioned that Facebook was on its way to roll out free VoIP audio calling functionality to its Messenger app. Guess what, the feature is now available in the latest version of Android version’s Facebook Messenger.

Facebook Messenger for Android Updated with New Look

Thus far, only Canadians can call friends for free right from Messenger. Note that free calling uses your existing data plan.

Other than that, the new version brings updates to group conversations, such as the ability to name a group right from the top of your conversation, get to your group conversations in the sidebar and you can search for group conversations by name or look them up by friends in the group. Last but not least, this version includes other improvements and bug fixes.

P.S. : Wonder when Facebook will bring the feature to rest of the world?
