ASUS introduced several key products at Computex Taipei 2013. So far, we’ve covered almost all of the newest products from the Taiwanese company. This includes a refresh to Transformer Pad Infinity, MeMO Pad HD 7, MeMO Pad FHD 10 and Fonepad Note. However, none of the products are so special or unusual as the ASUS Transformer Book Trio!
The Transformer Book Trio is the world’s first three-in-one mobile device that can be “transformed” into a notebook, tablet or desktop PC. The device comprises of two hardwares – a tablet and a PC station with dual operating systems – Windows 8 and Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. That really reminds us of ASUS Transformer AiO P1801.
Both hardwares has their own set of processor, storage and battery. The tablet sports a 11.6-inch screen display with 1920 x 1080 resolution. It is powered by a 2.0GHz Intel Atom Z2580 processor with 2GB of memory, up to 64GB of internal storage and a 19WHr battery.
The tablet works as Windows 8 machine when docked into the PC Station. The PC Station itself is powered by 4th generation Intel Core “Haswell” i7/i5 processor with 750GB or 1TB HDD storage and a 33Whr battery. The 33Whr battery in the PC Station can be used to extend the battery life of the tablet
Thus far, ASUS has yet to reveal the pricing and availability for the Transformer Book Trio. The device may hit market in the 3Q this year.
