Turned out our price prediction for ASUS MeMO Pad 8 was wrong. The 8-inch budget-friendly tablet is priced cheaper than we thought, at RM 699 apiece. The pricing detail is shown in the latest product guide for tablets and padfone for the month of November and December 2013. Exact availability is anyone’s guess.
To recap, ASUS MeMO Pad 8 (ME180A) features an 8-inch LED-backlit WXGA display with 1280 x 800 resolution. It is powered by a 1.6GHz quad-core processor with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. There’s a micoSD card slot for additional storage plus free 16GB worth of one year ASUS Webstorage Space. It is measures just 127mm from side to side with thickness of 9.95mm and weighs only 350g.
The tablet features a 5MP rear camera, a 1.2MP front-facing camera, WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0, a microUSB slot, Android 4.2 and dual-speakers with ASUS SonicMaster audio technology. The battery can lasts MeMO Pad 8 up to 9 hours.
