After Acer announced its first phablet – the 5.7-inch Liquid S1, ASUS is another handset maker to jump into the phablet bandwagon with the introduction of the Fonepad Note FHD 6 today.
ASUS Fonepad Note sports a 6-inch Full HD Super IPS+ screen display with 1920 x 1080 resolution and 450 nits brightness. The screen is protected by scratch resistant glass with anti-fingerprint coating. The phablet is powered by a dual-core 1.6GHz Intel Atom Z2560 processor with 2GB of RAM and storage size of 16GB or 32GB. 5GB of free lifetime ASUS WebStorage is also included.
ASUS Fonepad Note, which runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, has a smaller form factor than the original 7-inch Fonepad and includes a stylus. There are ASUS exclusive note apps that take advantage of the stylus. The phablet also features a 8MP rear camera, a 1.2MP front-facing camera, dual front speakers and a 3,200 mAh battery. Nope, the FonePad Note has no LTE connectivity, only has built-in 3G radio.
Thus far, ASUS hasn’t reveal anything on the pricing and availability. Hopefully the phablet is competitive priced and is able to give Galaxy Note a run for their money. 🙂
