ASUS Fonepad 7, the refresh of the original Fonepad, is now on sale in Malaysia. The 7-inch phone / tablet hybrid retails at RM 999. At Maxis Online Store, the device goes from as low as RM 299 on its SurfMore 75 data plan for 24-month duration.
To recap, the phablet (ME372CG) is revamped with a few new features and improvements including a new Clover Trail+ Atom Z2560 processor (previously Lexington Atom Z2420), a new non-slip finish, faster HSPA+ 3G speeds, dual-front speakers and runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.
Maxis bundled Fonepad 7 under two data plans – SurfMore 50 and SurfMore 75. Both are tied to 24-month contract. The subsidized device pricing under SurfMore 50 plan is RM 449 while SurfMore 75 plan at RM 299.
