ASUS has announced a new version to last year’s Transformer Pad Infinity tablet on June 3 at Computex Taipei 2013. The high-end Android tablet brings in faster processor and boost to display. Read on for more details.
The new Transformer Pad Infinity sports a 10.1-inch LED backlit 2560 x 1600 WQXGA IPS+ panel with 400 nits brightness and PPI of 299. It is powered by the new generation NVIDIA Tegra 4 quad-core 1.9GHz processor with a 72-core GeForce GPU. It has 2GB of memory and internal storage size of 32GB. 5GB of free lifetime ASUS WebStorage is also included.
The tablet which runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS, features a 5MP rear camera with auto focus and f/2.4 aperture. There is a 1.2MP camera on its front. On top of that, it comes with a mobile keyboard dock that includes an extra battery, a SDXC card reader and a USB 3.0 port. The tablet itself has 31Wh Li-polymer battery and when you put the tablet into mobile dock, the tablet get an extra power of 16Wh.
Other features include 802.11 b/g/n dual band Wi-Fi support, Bluetooth 3.0, a micro SDXC card reader, a micro HDMI port and GPS connectivity.
Thus far, ASUS has yet to reveal the pricing and availability for the tablet.
