Acer has just announced its first ever Android phablet – the 5.7-inch Liquid S1, at Computex Taipei 2013.
As for the hardware specification, Acer Liquid S1 sports a 5.7-inch HD screen display with 1280 x 720 resolution. The phablet is powered by a Mediatek quad-core 1.5GHz processor with 1GB of memory and 8GB of internal storage (expandable by up to 32 GB via microSD).
Acer Liquid S1 has battery capacity of 2,400mAh, enough for one day usage. It runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, features dual SIM card slots and weighs 195g.
The phablet offers several useful apps including the Float User Interface which allows you to open several app windows on top of any running app, Acer Auto Profile automatically switch profiles when you visit different locations, Voice Unlock (open apps or interfaces by voice), Acer data traffic manager (keep track of daily and monthly data usage) and Live Screen app for temporary 2-way live sharing.
Pricing and Availability
The Liquid S1 will start shipping in Q3 2013 in France, Belgium, Netherlands, Ukraine, Russia, UK and Germany, followed by Spain and Italy with a starting price of €349.
