Taiwanese smartphone maker HTC Corporation is pleased to announce that the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update will be rolling out globally this month to two smartphone models – HTC One X and One S.
The announcement was made during the launch of HTC’s new Android flagship smartphone – the HTC One X+, earlier today.
In addition to the Jelly Bean update, both smartphones will sport a newer version of the Sense UI, the Sense 4+.
Among the new features in Sense 4+ are the refreshed Gallery app, newer version of HTC Watch 2.0 (provides exclusive access to thousands of movies), HTC Get Started (guides you through painless set-up and personalisation process from a desktop web browser) and new Tap and Go function (connect the phone and your music to Beats speakers with a single tap).
HTC didn’t provide any specific date for the Jelly Bean update to HTC One X and One S. However, we hope that it doesn’t take until the end of October to get the update ready.
