While our neighboring country Singapore, has already got their hands on the new iPhone 5 more than one month ago (they are one of the first batch countries), we in Malaysia are still waiting patiently for our turn. However, the wait will be over because the iPhone 5 will be finally here on this month!
If a listing on Mid Valley’s website is to be believed, Maxis Malaysia is set to organize iPhone 5 event from November 5 to November 11. Friday, November 9 is the most likely to be the launch date for iPhone 5 in Malaysia.
To recap, the all-new design fifth-generation Apple smartphone sports a larger 4-inch Retina display. Powered by a new A6 chip, iPhone 5 boosts graphics performance by 2x and has twice the CPU power than the iPhone 4S. Moreover, the Apple smartphone delivers better battery life and runs on the ultrafast wireless technology including LTE (long term evolution) and DC-HSDPA. Well, don’t expect LTE to work in Malaysia.
Other features include 8MP iSight camera, 1.2MP Facetime camera, Lightning port (replaces the old 30-pin connector) and runs on new iOS 6. Also, the iPhone 5 comes with new Apple EarPods out-of-the-box.
