The wait for iPhone 5 will be over soon as Apple has confirmed that the iPhone maker will unveil the next-generation iPhone in the October 4 media event. Guys, that’s only 5 days from now! 🙂
Apple has issued the following invitations to selected members of the press for a media event at the California-based company’s own Town Hall Auditorium at 10 a.m. Pacific Standard time on Tuesday, October 4.
Judging from the image above, the three iOS icons (Calendar, Clock and Google Maps icons) tell us the date, the time and the location of the iPhone 5 media event. Meanwhile the fourth iOS icon – a phone application with number 1 at the top right corner of the icon, should hints us that Apple will announce only one iPhone (not two iPhones as rumored) on October 4.
In the October 4 event, we expect the new Apple CEO, Tim Cook to make his first ever Apple product announcement as the new Apple boss to launch the iPhone 5.
Now, the next big question is pointing at the possible new features of the iPhone 5. According to 9to5mac, the iPhone 5 is expected to sport a dual-core A5 chip from iPad 2 with 9 times faster graphics with 1GB of RAM (previously 512MB). Besides, the rear camera will be upgraded to 8-megapixels and will sport a backlit sensor. The camera app might support panorama photography. Other features include a Qualcomm Gobi baseband chip so a single hardware SKU should address both GSM and CDMA networks.
On top of that, Apple will introduce the main highlight of all the features – a voice recognition and commands system dubbed Assistant in the iPhone 5. Assistant is reportedly more responsive and interactive in nature. It integrates an “Info” button which takes users commands. Through the button users can directly ask the iPhone for data. This should explain the tagline, “Let’s talk iPhone”. 🙂
To find out the brand new iPhone and features, just wait till next Tuesday, October 4.
