Many of us expect the HTC One Max to make its debut at IFA 2013 in Berlin, somehow the phablet was nowhere to be seen at the tech show. Instead the largest-to-be-announced device in the HTC One family series will be launched in October, if the detail from China is to be believed. Plus, there is a new batch of photos of the phablet leaked on Weibo (a Chinese microblogging website). Read on for more details (or rumors).
From the leaked photos and specs, the HTC One Max (or HTC 8088 in China) could sports a 5.9-inch Full HD 1080p screen display and is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor clocked at 1.7Ghz (not Snapdragon 800 as reported earlier). There is 2GB of RAM, built-in storage size of 16GB and a battery capacity of 3300mAH.
The phablet has a 4 Ultrapixel rear camera and a 2.1MP front facing camera for video calling. It runs Android 4.3 Jelly Bean with Sense 5.5 overlay.
Contrary to the press shot leaked by evleaks last month, the new leaked photos clearly shown that the HTC One Max features a fingerprint scanner at the back of the phablet, right below the rear camera.
The HTC One Max is rumored to be priced at 4999 yuan in China or slightly over $800. Slated for October launch.
