Two weeks back, we’re talking about HTC’s plan for the upcoming Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2012 event and we expected the HTC’s Ice Cream Sandwich smartphone, codenamed Ville to be officially unveiled in the event. According to PocketNow, the ICS handset will make its debut in MWC 2012 and begin shipping on April next year.
On top of that, we’ve a new official HTC Ville render, courtesy of PocketNow. And guess what, the Ville smartphone is set to become the slimmest HTC smartphone with only 8.49 mm thickness. It is even thinner than iPhone 4S (9.3 mm) or Samsung Galaxy S II (9.91 mm).
The Android 4.0 ICS smartphone features a 4.3-inch qHD Super AMOLED display on a 1.5GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 chipset. Other features inclide refreshed HTC Sense 4.0 UI, an 8-megapixel camera with a backside-illuminated sensor and support for up to 1080p HD video recording, HSPA+, Beats Audio and a 1,650 mAh battery.
