Look like our Taiwanese smartphone maker has one high-end Android smartphone underway. Codenamed Edge, the smartphone is expected to become the world’s first smartphone to feature a quad-core processor. Read on for more details (they’re still unconfirmed though).
The HTC Edge will feature a 4.7-inch 720p HD S-LCD 2 screen display with optical lamination, is powered by a quad-core 1.5GHz NVIDIA processor, has a unibody design with thickness around 8.8mm, 1GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory storage which can be expanded with a microSD card.
In the camera department, the smartphone will sport a 8-megapixel rear camera with backside-illumination and supports the 1080p HD video capturing. On its front, the HTC Edge will feature a 720p front-facing camera. Other specs include Beats Audio, Bluetooth 4.0, an 1,800 mAh battery and NFC.
On top of that, Edge may also get new or improved HTC content services, such as the HTC Listen music store, HTC Read bookstore, and HTC Play gaming hub; the HTC Watch movie portal will reportedly begin to offer HD fare. Additionally, Edge could be one of the first Sense 4.0 devices. Thanks, Pocketnow and BGR!
