Here’s the latest news regarding the Android ICS update for current HTC smartphones. Taiwanese mobile maker has confirmed that a total of 16 of its Android devices will be updated with the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS.
Owners of the following 16 HTC smartphones are confirmed to receive ICS update.
- DROID Incredible 2 by HTC
- HTC Amaze 4G
- HTC Desire S
- HTC Desire HD
- HTC EVO 3D
- HTC EVO Design 4G
- HTC Incredible S
- HTC Sensation
- HTC Sensation XL
- HTC Sensation 4G
- HTC Sensation XE
- HTC Raider
- HTC Rezound
- HTC Rhyme
- HTC Thunderbolt
- HTC Vivid
Currently, HTC is working on rolling out Android 4.0 ICS for the HTC Sensation and HTC Sensation XE. According to them, the upgrades will be more widely available in the next few weeks. This will be followed by HTC Sensation 4G and HTC Sensation XL.
However, no exact date is mentioned by HTC regarding the ICS update. But note that, the time of updates may varies between countries because it will take time for all carriers in each country to get the update once the updates has been pushed by HTC.
